Amy and her husband Paul met during their first year of Bible college. After graduation, they married and moved across the country to pursue ministry in church planting. With their minds in "ministry mode", it was difficult to focus on growing their family. Years went by before testing finally revealed they were facing "male factor" infertility. Many cases are easily treated, but in their case it was clear that treatment was not an option. Every door they tried seemed to shut immediately.
After 16 years of marriage, and many struggles, God has been faithful. Amy's greatest praise is that God was able to bless their marriage even through the most difficult circumstances. She and Paul enjoy reading and laughing together, serving in their local church and reaching out to their co-workers. She never could have dreamed that her "happy ending" would be as a family of two!
Amy serves on the Board of Directors of Hannah's Prayer Ministries, an online forum for Christian, married women who have struggled through infertility or the loss of a child. She has a passion for seeing marriages grow and helping women see themselves through God's eyes.
